Allowable Limit of Human Annoyance Towards Ground-Borne Vibration Velocity Induced by Rail Traffic: A Review

چکیده

Abstract Many industrialized nations have created their own standards for determining and grading the dangers posed by ground-borne vibration, notably in terms of human irritation. Excessive vibrations trains an impact not only on individuals, but also sensitive machinery buildings. The authority as well practitioners critical responsibilities managing accessing vibrations. This study discusses differences between standard limit caused that can irritate people. local guideline was compared to used US, Norway, Sweden, California, Germany, Netherlands. mainly interested limitations vibration velocity residential settings.

Numerical modelling of ground-borne noise and vibration in buildings due to surface rail traffic

This paper deals with the numerical computation of the structural and acoustic response of a building to an incoming wave field generated by high-speed surface railway traffic. The source model consists of a moving vehicle on a longitudinally invariant track, coupled to a layered ground modelled with a boundary element formulation. The receiver model is based on a substructuring formulation and...

Influences of Railway Track Geometry Parameters on Ground-Borne Vibration

One of the most important challenges in the development of urban railways network is the effects of railway vibrations on human and adjacent structures. Although various investigations into the sources of railway vibrations have been conducted, very few research works have been reported on the influences of track geometry parameters on the level of vibrations. This is addressed in this resea...

Floating Track Slab Systems for Reducing Ground- Borne Noise and Vibration from Rail Vehicles

This investigation explores both the theoretical and empirical modelling of the dynamic performance of floating slab track systems used for reducing groundborne noise and vibration from rail transit systems. Accurately predicting the performance of floating slab track systems is important to the success of a new rail project. In general it has been observed that analytical and numerical models ...

Reducing railway-induced ground-borne vibration by using open trenches and soft-filled barriers

A trench can act as a barrier to ground vibration and is a potential mitigation measure for low frequency vibration induced by surface railways. However, to be effective at very low frequencies the depth required becomes impractical. Nevertheless, for soil with a layered structure in the top few metres, if a trench can be arranged to cut through the upper, soft layer of soil, it can be effectiv...
